General Election Facts:
- Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The polls are open from 6:00 am - 7:00 pm. NOTE: If you need to register to vote, please visit the Kane County Elections website for the Voter Registration Application (you must hand deliver or mail this application by Oct. 8, 2024 to vote in the Nov. 5, 2024 election).
- To find your polling place, enter your last name and address in the Kane County Elections Voter Search. Once entered, your Election Day polling place will be listed along with other voting information, including your registration status, sample ballot, and more.

Early Voting:
- Eary voting is UNDERWAY at the Kane County Clerk's Office (719 S. Batavia Ave, Bldg. B, Geneva) and its satellite office (5 E. Downer Place, Aurora) ONLY. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
- Beginning Monday, October 21, early voting will be open at a variety of locations throughout Kane County, including during the following hours at the offices of Elgin Township (729 S. McLean Blvd, Elgin): Mon-Fri, Oct. 21-25, 8:30am-4:30pm; Sat, Oct. 26, 9am-noon; Sun, Oct. 27, 10am-4pm; Mon-Fri, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 8:30am-7pm; Sat, Nov. 2, 8am-4pm; Sun, Nov. 3, 10am-4pm; Mon, Nov. 4, 8:30am-4pm.
To Vote by Mail:
- Click on Vote by Mail to request a ballot to be mailed to your home or call the Kane County Elections Office at 630-232-5990. You can also apply for permanent Vote by Mail status. The last day a ballot can be mailed to you is 5 days prior to the election (or October 31, 2024).
- If you requested a Vote by Mail ballot prior to September 26, 2024, you should have already received your ballot.
- Your Vote by Mail ballot must be postmarked by Election Day (November 5, 2024) and must be in the Kane County Elections office within two weeks after the election (November 19, 2024).
REMEMBER:
The ballot is the same whether you vote by mail, vote early, or vote at the polling place on Election Day (visit the Kane County Clerk's website for a list of all Nov. 5 polling places). Anyone who is properly registered to vote in the State of Illinois can request a Vote by Mail ballot (as well as apply for permanent Vote by Mail status).
